Blas Pérez Edo was born in Cedrillas (Teruel) in 1949. Now the Head Chef at the Gran Meliá Fénix he joined Sol Meliá in 1972 at the Meliá Madrid Princesa (Madrid). In 1998 Pérez Edo went to work at the Gran Meliá Salinas (Lanzarote) where he worked as Head Chef until 2001 when he moved to the Gran Meliá Fénix. His long career was rewarded in 2004 when he was awarded the Madrid Chefs´ Association award for Best Chef.
